Swainson Miki Peskett LLP is seeking to add a talented and motivated Summer Students to join our team in 2026. Our ideal candidate will have a keen interest in Commercial Real Estate, Corporate, and/or Commercial Litigation practice. The candidate chosen for this position will work alongside our senior lawyers, paralegals, and clients learning through both hands-on training and observation of all stages of advisory and transactional legal work. Duties, to be completed under the direct supervision of a barrister & solicitor, include but will not be limited to:
Drafting legal documents;
Preparing correspondence;
Conducting legal research and preparing corresponding memos;
Attending both court appearances and client meetings; and
Completing administrative tasks as required.


Currently enrolled as a 1L/2L law student at a Canadian law school;
Strong work ethic & inter-personal skills; and
Interest in Corporate-Commercial, Commercial Litigation, Employment & Labour, Privacy, and/or Commercial Real Estate & Lending practice work.
