Allen R. Evaniew, K.C. Barrister & Solicitor

Al is one of the leaders of Swainson Miki Peskett, providing a pivotal role as counsel in our real estate group. Born and raised in the Edmonton area, Al attended the University of Alberta where he obtained his Bachelor of Commerce and law (LL.B.) degree. Since then, Al has built a practice over 40 years specializing in commercial real estate. Driven by his interest in business, Al obtained his MBA while practicing.

Al acts for a number of large commercial real estate clients in a variety of matters, including transactions, commercial leasing and financing. He has also acted for commercial lenders, both private and institutional, in the structuring of loans as well as the preparation and placement of security.

Al’s friendly demeanor and approachability make him a popular fixture around the office and within the industry. At the same time, his insightful legal mind combined with his business acumen make him indispensable.

Al is a proud grandfather and when he is not working, enjoys golfing, cycling, and travelling to do either one – ideally both.
